Hardware Appliance Lifecycle and End-of-Life Policy
This policy defines the End-of-Life (EOL) terms and timelines for hardware appliances sold by ExtraHop Networks, Inc. ("ExtraHop"). The purpose is to help ExtraHop customers determine the date when their appliance will no longer support new firmware releases and to provide a reasonable amount of time for customers to migrate to a supported appliance.
ExtraHop also offers subscription plans for customers who don't need a physical appliance, and hybrid physical-subscription plans for customers who need a more flexible hardware upgrade option. If you're interested in a subscription plan, please contact your ExtraHop sales representative.
Hardware Appliance Lifecycle Definitions and Timeline
Event | Description | Coverage Period |
---|---|---|
End of Firmware Upgrades | ExtraHop will stop developing compatible firmware for an appliance and stop non-critical security upgrades. | 3 years from end of sale date |
End of Support & Firmware Security Upgrades | ExtraHop will stop supporting the appliance and stop providing firmware security upgrades. | 4 years from end of sale date |
Coverage periods apply to all editions of ExtraHop hardware appliances.
Note: Hardware failures are covered by the ExtraHop RMA policy and are outlined in the hardware replacement section of the ExtraHop Support Terms. Discounted hardware refresh options are available.
