TOKYO - SEPTEMBER 14, 2022 -ExtraHop, the leader in cloud-native network intelligence, today announced the appointment of Tsuyoshi Yamanishi as area vice president of Japan. Yamanishi will lead the overall Japanese business for ExtraHop, working to strengthen and expand the sales team and channel partner ecosystem.
Prior to joining ExtraHop, Yamanishi spent more than 20 years in network security at Digital Guardian KK, Palo Alto Networks KK, Lookout Japan KK, and Riverbed Technology KK, where he has a proven track record of success, contributing to business growth, revenue growth, and team expansion.
"I'm thrilled that Yamanishi has joined ExtraHop to help us spread our mission of stopping advanced threats through our leading technology," said Patrick Dennis, CEO, ExtraHop. "His 20 years of experience and knowledge in the field of network security will help our Japanese partners and customers harness the power of their network so they can stop the advanced threats already lurking within it."
Yamanishi commented, "I am very pleased to be a part of ExtraHop, which has grown steadily since its launch in Japan in 2020 and has become a leader in the network detection and response (NDR) market. At the same time, I feel a strong responsibility to meet the expectations for significant growth and look forward to working with our distribution partners in the region to help organizations shore up their cybersecurity defense. With the increase in cyberattacks in Japan and the chronic shortage of information security engineers, I believe that ExtraHop's AI-based network intelligence will see exponential growth in the future. I will use my experience and knowledge in promoting both networking and security over the past 20+ years to drive the Japanese market for ExtraHop."
