This ExtraHop ServiceNow CMDB integration delivers real-time network device discovery and updates for ServiceNow CMDB. It leverages the power of ExtraHop's network visibility to passively discover network devices on your network.
This solution requires the deployment of a headless, stateless, api-driven middleware component to run within your network.
- Get real-time device discovery and updates for ServiceNow CMDB without a complex, intrusive polling framework.
- Accurate, real-time network device data added to ServiceNow CMDB. The network is the source of truth.
How it works
This ExtraHop ServiceNow CMDB integration delivers real-time network device discovery updates for ServiceNow Configuration Management Database (CMDB) at a configured interval (defaults to 30 minutes). The integration uses the ExtraHop REST API to query recently active devices and all associated protocol information via the ExtraHop Live Activity Maps API endpoint. The ExtraHop ServiceNow CMDB middleware component transforms and correlates the network device and protocol information into CMDB device payloads and sends to ServiceNow's REST API. ServiceNow then determines if an existing configuration item requires an update or if this is a new item to be added. The end result is an up-to-date ServiceNow CMDB with all of the network devices passively monitored by ExtraHop.
