LONDON – 21 September 2022 – ExtraHop, the leader in cloud-native network intelligence, today announced the appointment of Duncan Butchart as vice president of EMEA, furthering its ambitious growth plans for the region.
An accomplished sales expert with more than 20 years experience leading teams at Blue Coat/Symantec, Easynet, and Skybox Security, Butchart joined ExtraHop in May as area vice president of Northern EMEA. Since his appointment, Butchart has assisted the company with its continuous European expansion, helping to develop channel and customer relations within the region.
"Duncan's track record in cybersecurity sales and business development puts him in great stead to continue developing our EMEA operations, pinpointing how we can add value to customers and partners with our market-leading NDR solution," said Patrick Dennis, CEO, ExtraHop. "Duncan has already proved he can expand our regional reach. With this move, we look forward to helping more organisations across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa defend against advanced cyberthreats like ransomware."
Butchart will use his extensive knowledge of the European technology market to nurture relations and deliver ExtraHop's solutions. Working closely with channel partners, Buchart will drive long-term growth for both ExtraHop and its partner ecosystem. Following a May distribution deal with Exclusive Networks, ExtraHop's entire product portfolio is now fully available in fourteen European territories.
"ExtraHop is at the forefront of a new approach to cyber defence — one that acknowledges the reality that intrusion is going to happen, and focuses on detecting, investigating, and responding to post-compromise activity before it becomes a full-scale breach," Butchart said. "Our company's approach is built on years of deep expertise in monitoring enterprise-scale networks using AI and ML, providing critical visibility at a time when cyberattacks are ramping up. I look forward to continuing to build ExtraHop's EMEA momentum with the help of our great relationships with partners and customers in the region."
