ExtraHop's Application Inspection Triggers Wins Gold Stevie® Award for Best New Networking Product and People's Choice Award for Favorite Computer Hardware
SEATTLE, WA — September 19, 2012 — ExtraHop Networks, the leading provider of network-based application performance management (APM) solutions, received two major accolades at the 10th‑annual American Business Awards (ABAs), honoring the company for its commitment to technology innovation. ExtraHop's Application Inspection Triggers (AI Triggers) technology was recognized for enabling peerless, custom APM functionality with a gold Stevie award for Best New Networking Product. Runners-up included NetScout Systems and Actiontec Electronics. AI Triggers also won a People's Choice Stevie Award for Favorite Computer Hardware.
The 2012 Stevie Award winners were selected by more than 270 executives nationwide who participated in the judging process this year. The People's Choice Stevie Awards for Favorite New Products are a feature of The American Business Awards in which the general public can vote for their favorite new products and services of the year. More than 98,000 votes were cast in 30 product categories in this year's vote. All new products and services honored in the ABA's new product categories were included in the People's Choice voting.
"ExtraHop has been disrupting the status quo with their steady flow of innovation in network-based APM," said Jim Frey, Managing Research Director, Enterprise Management Associates. "Assuring application performance is incredibly complex in today's dynamic enterprise IT environments. Organizations need to be able to tailor real-time performance monitoring metrics on the fly, without having to wait for updates from their vendors or their application development teams. ExtraHop's AI Triggers feature gives IT Operations teams that ability, and represents another unique aspect of the ExtraHop solution."
Since its launch in May of 2011, ExtraHop's AI Triggers technology has won high praise and numerous awards from prominent organizations and industry influencers. Enthusiasts value AI Triggers' revolutionary ability to empower IT personnel to customize the performance monitoring of business-critical applications without the overhead and deployment headaches of agent-based technologies.
As a framework for real-time analysis based on scriptable event processing at the application-protocol level, ExtraHop's AI Triggers is the only technology that enables IT personnel to perform sophisticated analysis and define additional metrics for their specific environment without assistance from vendors. With AI Triggers, IT teams can address some of the toughest challenges of ensuring application performance in dynamic environments:
- Monitor database performance in real time without the overhead of database profilers
- Record transaction-level metrics for log-analysis systems
- Perform deterministic, multi-tier correlation to trace specific front-end transactions across tiers
- Segregate performance metrics by client device
- Track unauthorized access to sensitive documents and folders in a network-attached storage (NAS) system
