ExtraHop Networks Named as Finalist in Two 2012 American Business Awards Categories

Company Recognized for Its Executive Leadership and Product Excellence

SEATTLE, WA July 31, 2012 ExtraHop Networks, the leading provider of network-based application performance management (APM) solutions, has been recognized in the 2012 American Business Awards for both its exemplary leadership team and groundbreaking technology. ExtraHop CEO Jesse Rothstein has been named a finalist in the prestigious awards' Executive of the Year category, and ExtraHop's Application Inspection Triggers (AI Triggers) technology has been selected as a finalist in the Best New Product or Service category.

Rothstein, who co-founded the company, specializes in designing high-performance networking products and was previously the chief architect for F5 Networks' BIG-IP v9 application delivery controller. Rothstein was selected as a finalist for the outstanding leadership he demonstrated throughout 2011, which included nearly doubling the total number of employees at ExtraHop, orchestrating an over-subscribed $14M Series-B financing round, expanding operations to the EMEA region, and overseeing six major product launches.

Among these new product developments was ExtraHop's AI Triggers technology, which was selected as a finalist for the 2012 American Business Awards in the Best New Product or Service category. AI Triggers technology has also been nominated for a People's Choice Stevie Award for Favorite New Products, the winner of which is determined by popular vote. AI Triggers technology was previously selected by Seattle Business Magazine for its 2011 Innovation of the Year award for being the first technology to empower IT personnel to create tailored, real-time performance monitoring metrics without performance agents or expensive outside consultants.

"The Stevies have been called the Oscars of American business, which is why we are extremely proud to be nominated for three of these venerable honors," said Rothstein. "These awards reflect the hard work that everyone at ExtraHop has put into revolutionizing APM. Working with such great talent every day is its own reward, and this kind of recognition makes it even better."

Each year, more than 2,800 entries are submitted for the Stevie American Business Awards from organizations of all sizes. These entries are made in virtually every category and industry and are reviewed by a judging panel consisting of more than 200 executives from across the country.

The recognition ExtraHop has received from the American Business Awards, whose winners will be announced at an awards banquet on Monday, September 17, is the latest of many accolades the company has received over the past several months. In addition to the Stevie finalist nominations, ExtraHop has recently been honored for its technical and corporate achievements by other organizations:
