ExtraHop Networks Launches NetworkTimeout.com, a Free Cloud-Based Service for Analyzing Network Traffic

New Web Service Helps IT Professionals Analyze and Share Packet Captures to Accelerate Troubleshooting and Improve Application Delivery

Las Vegas, Nevada – April 26, 2010 — ExtraHop Networks, a leading provider of network-monitoring solutions that help to ensure that business-critical transactions do not fail, today launched Network Timeout, a free web service for sophisticated analysis of network packet captures. Powered by the ExtraHop Application Delivery Assurance system, Network Timeout is a community-driven effort that aims to improve access to network- and application-analysis solutions and build a broad technical knowledge base among IT professionals. The service is available now at www.networktimeout.com.

ExtraHop Networks will be providing live demonstrations of Network Timeout at the Spring Interop 2010 conference in Las Vegas in Booth #1275. In addition, ExtraHop Networks was named as a finalist for this year's Best of Interop awards for the Network Management, Monitoring & Testing category.

"Delivering applications at network speed has become significantly more challenging as data center environments grow more complex and distributed," said Jesse Rothstein, CEO and co-founder of ExtraHop Networks. "Network Timeout provides IT professionals with a powerful new packet-capture analysis tool. Even more importantly, the service brings together a community of network and application experts who can collaborate to more effectively troubleshoot problems."

Registered users of the Network Timeout service can take advantage of a wide range of traffic-analysis capabilities:

  • Sophisticated Transaction Analysis: Network Timeout is powered by the ExtraHop Application Delivery Assurance system, which provides end-to-end agentless visibility across networks, applications, databases, and storage arrays.
  • Rich User Interface: After uploading packet captures to the Network Timeout service, users can view and analyze results via the same advanced GUI found in the ExtraHop Application Delivery Assurance system. This highly sophisticated and dynamic interface gives users quick access to actionable information.
  • Access to Community Forums: Registered users can share their results with a growing community of network troubleshooting experts who can help interpret data and make recommendations.
  • Full Privacy and Security Controls: Network Timeout users have full control over their capture files and can mark packet captures as private or choose to share their analysis sessions with the community or designated individuals.
