New Version of the ExtraHop Application Delivery Assurance System to Provide Customers with a Unified View of Entire Service Infrastructure
Seattle, Washington – November 8th, 2010 — ExtraHop Networks, a leading provider of network- and application-performance management (APM) solutions, today unveiled version 3.0 of the ExtraHop Application Delivery Assurance system. The new version of the ExtraHop system will provide a unified view of the entire IT environment, empowering IT personnel to identify and remediate network and application issues faster and more accurately than ever before."IT environments are only growing in complexity, especially as technologies such as virtualization and cloud computing take hold. As a result, it's becoming more difficult to quickly detect, triage, and troubleshoot network and application issues," said Jesse Rothstein, CEO and co-founder of ExtraHop Networks. "Version 3.0 of the ExtraHop Application Delivery Assurance system is designed to provide a unified, real-time view across the network, web, database, and storage tiers for use by multiple individuals and teams without relying on a variety of disconnected, siloed tools. We believe this approach represents a major step forward in helping to ensure that business-critical transactions do not fail."
Version 3.0 of the ExtraHop Application Delivery Assurance system features a variety of advanced network- and application-performance management and analysis functionality focused on helping IT teams proactively troubleshoot and remediate complex issues. The following key capabilities have been added in Version 3.0 of the ExtraHop system:
- Unified visibility across multiple ExtraHop systems: Designed for large enterprise customers with distributed operations and tens of thousands of devices under management, the ExtraHop Central Manager provides unified reporting and administration of multiple ExtraHop systems.
- More concurrent users: While many tools are used by only a single individual within the IT organization, the ExtraHop Application Delivery Assurance system enables multiple people and teams to triage and troubleshoot issues across the network, web, database, and storage tiers simultaneously.
- Dynamic groups: The ExtraHop system now can be configured to group devices automatically according to a variety of criteria including name, VLAN, and IP address. Dynamic groups are updated continuously and can be applied to dashboard widgets, reports, activity maps, and alerts.
- Application Activity Maps: A new user-interface enhancement, Application Activity Maps facilitate troubleshooting and auditing via dependency visualization. The maps represent network and application activity through information derived from ExtraHop's industry-leading real-time transaction analysis. Application Activity Maps can be exported to Microsoft Visio or PDF.
