Beer. Beat. Beets. I don't care what Dwight says.
There are few things finer than a good pint (or dram or what have you), unless of course that is said beverage of choice alongside some good people, good banter, and some wickedly cool tech.
I admit it, I'm a bit of (see: huge) geek, and I dig riffing on solutions, new ideas and ways to "hack the Gibson," proverbially speaking. That's a big part of why I love our ExtraHop User Groups so much. We get to bring together great people that are using some downright rad tech, and see what everyone is up to. Whether that's security, performance, application logic and flow or otherwise, there's nothing out of bounds at a User Group. This is a "throw the parts on the table and we'll build a solution" kind of gig, not a sales pitch, and some of ExtraHop's "Top Geeks" tend to be in attendance to roll up their sleeves and dig in.
Recently, in Atlanta, we were able to capture some of the locals in their natural habitat; i.e. amongst fellow engineers, beer in hand, figuring out ways to build a better mouse trap. Check out this short (<2 min.) video for some highlights of the event, to hear what they thought about it, and to get a feel for what ExtraHop User Groups are all about. After that, come on out to the next User Group in your area and say hi. We'll do our best to help you get what you're looking for out of your wire data and IT operations, and we'll even try to keep the keg cold.
