We sent an email to a person in the wrong department at a company we've been talking with. This reply made us smile:
" There are some commonalities in our work, but as you can see, I don't think I can help you.
You appear to be an IT sales person. I work for a retailer, but I am in the transportation department.
You improve the delivery of business critical information, while I am concerned about the delivery of business critical trucks.
You advertise L2-L7, while I am more concerned about moving freight 24/7 in compliance with Part 395 of the FMCSR.
Your product is a passive appliance, but I am concerned more with kitchen appliances.
You care about WAN optimization, while I care about VAN optimization.
Finally, I like to finger-point at our IT folks, while you encourage stopping it. :-) "
